‘Sinners’ and ‘The Pitt’ Among Casting Society Artios Award Winners

The 41st annual Casting Society Artios Awards celebrated the best casting in films, TV, and theater, with casting directors Francine Maisler, Nina Gold, and Douglas Aibel among the winners. The ceremony took place in Los Angeles, New York, and London, with actors Harvey Guillén, Jeff Hiller, and Jessica Gunning hosting the events.

In the TV category, casting directors behind “The Pitt” and “The Studio” took home awards. Special honors were also presented, including the Lynn Stalmaster Award for Career Achievement to Ayo Davis and the Rosalie Joseph Humanitarian Award posthumously to Laura Adler. The Hoyt Bowers Award for Excellence in Casting was awarded to Julie Ashton.

In London, awards were presented to GAP Workshops and casting director Kate Rhodes James. The Associate Casting Director Spotlight Award recipients were Leslie Wasserman in Los Angeles and Dustin Presley in New York.

The winners for feature films and London Theatre categories were also announced. Notable winners included “Jay Kelly” for Big Budget Comedy and “Sinners” for Big Budget Drama. TV series winners included “Hacks” for Comedy and “Severance” for Drama. Limited series winner was “Adolescence” and reality series winners included “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and “Queer Eye.”

In the theater category, winners included “English” for Broadway Comedy or Drama, “Buena Vista Social Club” and “Maybe Happy Ending” for Broadway Musical, and “The Importance Of Being Earnest” for London Theatre.

The Casting Society Artios Awards recognizes the talent and hard work of casting directors in bringing stories to life on screen and stage. It celebrates the art of casting and the impact it has on storytelling.
