Snoop Dogg, Huntr/x, Lainey Wilson Liven Up Netflix NFL Halftime Show

In a festive mix of Snoop Dogg’s iconic hits and classic Christmas tunes, Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium came alive during the halftime show for Netflix’s Christmas Day broadcast of the NFL game between the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings.

Snoop Dogg, along with Lainey Wilson and Huntr/x from the popular “Kpop Demon Hunters” series, brought their own unique brand of holiday cheer to the event. The segment, titled “Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party,” was introduced by Martha Stewart with a Snoop Dogg twist on “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” setting the tone for a fun-filled performance.

Dressed in a vibrant fire engine-red suit and coat, Snoop made a grand entrance into the arena, accompanied by a small orchestra and energetic dancers. He performed a medley of his hit songs, seamlessly transitioning from “The One and Only” to “My Favorite Things” and then into “Nuthin’ But a ‘G’ Thang.” The lively performance was enhanced by a high-energy marching band that added to the festive atmosphere.

Despite some online chatter about the audio quality during Snoop’s performance, the show continued with Huntr/x joining him on stage for a pop rendition of “The 12 Days of Christmas.” Country star Lainey Wilson then joined in for a spirited version of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” followed by Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and his son, Matteo, delivering a powerful duet of “White Christmas.”

The star-studded performance concluded with a heartwarming moment as Snoop, Wilson, and Huntr/x joined the Bocellis on stage for a classic holiday finale. This marked the second year that Netflix featured high-profile musical performances during their Christmas Day NFL broadcasts, following last year’s appearance by Beyoncé.

Earlier in the day, Netflix aired the first of two games, with the Dallas Cowboys securing a victory over the Washington Commanders. The Christmas Day festivities were a mix of football and music, bringing joy and entertainment to viewers across the country.

Overall, Snoop Dogg and his friends provided a modern twist on a traditional Christmas celebration, closing out the show with a touching image of Snoop surrounded by his family in holiday pajamas. The event was a perfect blend of holiday spirit, music, and sports, making it a memorable Christmas Day broadcast for all who tuned in.
