Someone Told Milly Alcock She Needs Acting Coach on House of the Dragon

Milly Alcock faced a challenging start when she joined the cast of “House of the Dragon.” In a recent interview on “The Tonight Show,” Alcock, who portrays young Rhaenyra Targaryen in the “Game of Thrones” spinoff, revealed that she was unexpectedly advised to work with an acting coach on just her second day of filming by someone in a high position on set.

This encounter only added to Alcock’s anxiety as she took on the role of Rhaenyra, a character deeply rooted in the “Thrones” universe. Feeling inadequate, she admitted, “It just confirmed everything that I’ve kind of known to be true, [which] is that I’m not very good at my job.” Despite her doubts, Alcock appeared alongside Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, and Rhys Ifans in Season 1 of “House of the Dragon,” making a brief appearance in Season 2.

As reported by Variety, filming for Season 3 of “House of the Dragon” commenced in March, with new additions to the cast including Tommy Flanagan, Dan Fogler, Tom Cullen, Joplin Sibtain, and Barry Sloane. The series, set 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones,” is based on George R.R. Martin’s fantasy novel “Fire & Blood.”

The journey of Milly Alcock in the world of “House of the Dragon” serves as a testament to the challenges faced by actors in the industry. Despite initial setbacks, Alcock’s determination and talent have allowed her to shine in her role as Rhaenyra Targaryen, captivating audiences with her portrayal on screen.
