Man Stabbed in Neck at Manhattan Subway Station

An altercation at the West 4th Street-Washington Square Station in Manhattan took a violent turn on Saturday morning when a 50-year-old man was stabbed in the neck during a dispute. The shocking incident left the victim with a knife still protruding from his neck as he was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.

According to authorities, the victim was involved in a fight with another man at the subway station around 5:40 a.m. The attacker, who approached the victim from behind, stabbed him in the neck before fleeing the scene on a different train.

The injured man was immediately transported to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition with the knife still lodged in his neck. He underwent emergency surgery to address the serious injuries sustained during the attack.

Authorities are still investigating the motive behind the violent altercation as the nature of the dispute remains unknown. The perpetrator managed to escape the scene before law enforcement could apprehend him.
