Stephen Colbert Showers Trump With An Awkward Golden Reminder

The previous simple green interior has been completely transformed, now featuring an abundance of marble at the insistence of Trump, who deemed it “appropriate” for the era of President Abraham Lincoln.

Colbert humorously remarked, “It makes perfect sense. Because during the Civil War, Lincoln often stayed overnight at the Gettysburg Caesars Palace.”

Describing the lavishly renovated bathroom, Colbert pointed out its luxurious features including a glittering over-the-toilet chandelier, M.C. Escher-style floor-to-wall-wall-and-floor design, and opulent golden bathroom fixtures. Colbert quipped, “Because Trump is into… well, he said it best.”

During a 2023 campaign event, Trump referenced a scandalous accusation from a debunked dossier by ex-British spy Christopher Steele, stating, “Golden showers, as they say they call them.”
