Stephen Colbert Spots Awkward Moment Between Trump And Melania

Stephen Colbert, the host of the “Late Show,” kicked off Monday night’s show in high spirits.
“This weekend marked Father’s Day, and daddy got his wish,” Colbert quipped. “No one showed up for Trump’s extravagant birthday parade.”
President Donald Trump’s $45 million military parade on Saturday, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army and his own birthday, was marred by low attendance and lackluster energy.
“The White House claims 250,000 people attended, but apparently a quarter of a million people looks like this,” Colbert joked as he displayed a photo of a sparse crowd. “They must be experts at hide-and-seek.”
One awkward moment stood out: when Trump attempted to hold hands with his wife, Melania Trump.
“Rejected!” Colbert exclaimed, showing the cringeworthy footage of Melania pulling away slightly. “That was a risky move on her part, not reciprocating the pinky hold, because as commander in chief, he could have declared a thumb war.”
