‘Suits LA’ Canceled After One Season at NBC
“Suits LA” Cancelled After One Season on NBC
The spin-off series “Suits LA” has been canceled by NBC after just one season, according to Variety.
The show, which expanded the “Suits” universe, premiered on NBC in February and featured a cast including Stephen Amell, Lex Scott Davis, Josh McDermitt, and Bryan Greenberg. Original “Suits” cast members such as Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman, and David Costabile also made appearances on the show.
Despite high expectations following the success of “Suits” on Netflix, “Suits LA” failed to garner the same level of enthusiasm from viewers. The show received negative reviews and struggled to make an impact in the ratings.
The official series description of “Suits LA” follows Ted Black (played by Amell), a former federal prosecutor from New York who has reinvented himself as a lawyer representing powerful clients in Los Angeles. The show delves into Ted’s personal and professional life, exploring the events that led him to leave everything behind.
Created by Aaron Korsh, “Suits LA” also featured executive producers such as David Bartis, Doug Liman, and Gene Klein. The show was produced by UCP.
The cancellation of “Suits LA” is the latest in a series of announcements from NBC, including the cancellations of other shows like “The Irrational,” “Lopez vs. Lopez,” and “Night Court.”
