Suspect on the run after killing couple hiking with their 2 kids at Arkansas’ Devil’s Den State Park: Police

Arkansas State Police are investigating a tragic incident at Devil’s Den State Park, where a married couple was found dead on a walking trail. The victims have been identified as Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41. The couple was hiking with their two daughters, aged 7 and 9, who thankfully were unharmed.

Authorities are treating the deaths as a potential double homicide and are actively seeking a suspect. The children are now safe with relatives as the investigation continues.

Col. Mike Hagar of the Arkansas State Police has assured the public that they are utilizing all available resources to apprehend the suspect and bring them to justice. The suspect is described as a white man with a medium build, wearing dark pants, a dark ball cap, sunglasses, and a long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up. He was also carrying a black backpack and wearing fingerless gloves. The suspect was last seen driving towards a park exit in a black, four-door sedan with a possibly obscured license plate.

Police are urging anyone who visited the park on the day of the incident to review their photos, videos, or GoPro footage for any images of the suspect. Residents living near the park are also asked to check their home security cameras for any suspicious activity. Anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Arkansas State Police Troop L.

Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders expressed her condolences and stated that her office is cooperating closely with law enforcement and park authorities in the investigation. She assured the public that law enforcement will not rest until the perpetrator is brought to justice.

The bodies of the victims have been taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for autopsies to determine the cause of death. Investigators are working diligently to solve this tragic case and bring closure to the grieving family and community.
