Taylor Frankie Paul’s exes had an unexpected encounter at a Utah courthouse, and the photos are now circulating. Tate Paul, Taylor’s ex-husband, and Dakota Mortensen, her ex-boyfriend, were spotted chatting in the lobby of a courthouse in Northern Utah.
Sources close to the situation revealed that Tate and Dakota both showed up at the court on the same day to obtain protective orders against Taylor. This coincided with ABC’s decision to cancel Taylor’s season of “The Bachelorette.”
Witnesses at the courthouse mentioned that Tate and Dakota arrived separately and did not come together. They did not have legal representation with them either. Dakota had filed for a protective order against Taylor earlier that week.
In his petition, Dakota detailed instances of alleged abuse by Taylor, including an incident where she reportedly attacked him in her home while their son, Ever, was present. Both Dakota and Taylor are currently under investigation by the Utah Division of Children and Family Services for allegations of spousal abuse and have been ordered to undergo psychological evaluations.
A video released by TMZ showed Taylor being arrested in 2023 for domestic violence, where she was seen hitting Dakota and throwing chairs at him, resulting in their 5-year-old daughter being injured.
The child mentioned in the video is one of two children Taylor shares with Tate. The couple gained attention in 2022 for their involvement in “soft swinging” with other Mormon couples before their divorce.
It remains unclear whether Tate has also filed for a restraining order against Taylor. The situation has put a halt to Taylor and Dakota’s appearance on “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” as the investigation unfolds.
