Taylor Swift Announces New Album ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’
Taylor Swift has revealed her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” in a surprise announcement on her website following the expiration of a countdown timer. While no release date has been confirmed, fans can expect vinyl editions to ship before Oct. 13.
Speculation about Swift’s next album has been circulating among fans, with Taylor Nation hinting at the upcoming release in a recent TikTok slideshow. The limited vinyl edition of “The Life of a Showgirl” will be available in “Portofino orange glitter,” along with a special cassette edition for pre-order.
Furthermore, Swift is set to appear on “New Heights,” as announced on a podcast, with a teaser video showing her pulling the album from a briefcase. The album artwork remains blurred, adding to the anticipation surrounding its release.
“The Life of a Showgirl” marks Swift’s first album since regaining control of her entire discography. After purchasing her catalog of recordings from Big Machine Records, the pop star has been re-recording and releasing her first six albums as part of her effort to reclaim ownership of her music.
Swift’s previous album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” was released during her record-breaking tour, which grossed over $2.2 billion across two years and five continents, making it the highest-grossing tour of all time.
Her “Taylor’s Version” releases have not only been re-recordings but have also included new music, Easter eggs, and visuals that provide a deeper insight into her work. With “The Life of a Showgirl” on the horizon, fans can expect another chapter in Swift’s musical journey.
