The victim, identified as Shayla, was at home with her mother, younger brother, and the family dog during the harrowing ordeal. Initially mistaking the situation for a Halloween prank, Shayla responded with a “Happy Halloween” greeting to the masked individuals. However, her attempts to deter them by mentioning the imminent arrival of law enforcement proved futile as the trio persisted in their menacing behavior.
