“That’s a curse”- WWE veteran comments on Chelsea Green’s status in the company (Exclusive)

Chelsea Green, a standout in the WWE women’s division, has captured the hearts of fans despite her lack of significant victories. However, wrestling veteran Vince Russo believes that her popularity has inadvertently led to a curse in her career trajectory within the company.

Despite being adored by fans, Chelsea Green often finds herself on the losing end of matches, as was evident in a recent RAW episode where she took the pinfall in a multi-woman tag team bout. Russo, speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW, pointed out that Green’s immense popularity among the audience has created a bulletproof image for her. While this should ideally be a blessing, Russo noted that it has become a curse as she is not consistently booked to reflect her strong connection with the fans.

Green’s popularity soared upon her return to WWE, with her becoming the inaugural Women’s United States Champion last year. However, her title reign was short-lived at 132 days, raising questions about the creative direction of her character within the company.

With a devoted fan base and undeniable charisma, Chelsea Green’s potential remains untapped due to inconsistent booking decisions. As she continues to navigate the challenges of maintaining her connection with the audience while striving for more meaningful opportunities in the ring, it remains to be seen how her career will unfold in the ever-evolving landscape of the WWE women’s division.
