The Broe Group kicks off phase two of Cherry Creek North project
The Cherry Creek North redevelopment project is moving forward with the construction of 250 Clayton, an eight-story building that will feature 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. After being on hold for almost three years, work has finally begun on this $200 million development.
“We continue to invest in our home market and see strong sustained demand for what has become Denver’s top urban market,” said Douglas Wells, CEO of Broe Real Estate Group, the developer behind 250 Clayton and the first phase of the project, 200 Clayton.
The new building will serve as the headquarters for The Broe Group, Broe Real Estate Group, and OmniTRAX. These companies will occupy 24% of the space in the new development. Designed by The Beck Group, 250 Clayton will offer spacious floor plans, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a dedicated drive-through entry for visitors.
Amenities at 250 Clayton will include outdoor gathering areas, a tenant lounge, a rooftop terrace, private terraces, bike storage, a fitness center, showers, lockers, and a four-level parking garage. Relocation plans are already in motion to move the companies to temporary offices in preparation for demolition at the site.
Construction is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2028. The Broe family, who has been a part of Cherry Creek for three generations, believes in the importance of contributing to the community. The Broe Group, founded in 1972 by Pat Broe, is a multi-billion-dollar investment company with a significant portfolio in the Cherry Creek area.
With the addition of 250 Clayton, Broe’s holdings in the Cherry Creek area will exceed $1.5 billion. For more business news and updates, sign up for the On The Block newsletter.
