‘The Lowdown’ Renewed for Season 2 at FX and Hulu

The popular Western dramedy series, “The Lowdown,” has officially been renewed for a second season by FX and Hulu. Production for the new season, starring Ethan Hawke, is set to kick off in Tulsa later this spring.

Created by Sterlin Harjo, the mastermind behind “Reservation Dogs,” “The Lowdown” follows the story of Lee Raybon, a citizen journalist and self-proclaimed “truthstorian,” who gets entangled in a local conspiracy after his exposé on a powerful family. The first season featured a star-studded cast including Keith David, Kyle MacLachlan, Jeanne Tripplehorn, and Peter Dinklage, among others.

Executive produced by Harjo, Garrett Basch, Hawke, Ryan Hawke, and Duffy Boudreau, “The Lowdown” is a production of FX Productions, with all episodes available for streaming on Hulu.

Alison Herman, chief TV critic at Variety, praised the series, describing it as a “superlative crime yarn” and “a joyful, ragtag survey of society’s frayed edges.” She noted that while “The Lowdown” may have bigger names and a more urban setting than “Reservation Dogs,” fans of the latter will appreciate its humor and well-developed cast of characters.

Fans of the show can look forward to more thrilling episodes in the upcoming season, as the creators gear up to deliver another round of captivating storytelling and unforgettable performances. Stay tuned for more updates on “The Lowdown” as production progresses and the release date for Season 2 is announced.
