‘The Voice’ Sets Joe Walsh, Zac Brown as Season 28 Mega Mentors

The Voice Season 28 Introduces New Mega Mentors Joe Walsh and Zac Brown

Season 28 of “The Voice” is heating up with the introduction of two new mega mentors – Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Joe Walsh and Grammy winner Zac Brown. The competition is fierce as the remaining artists gear up for the Knockouts, set to begin on Oct. 27.

Joe Walsh, known for his time with The Eagles and hits like “Life’s Been Good” and “Rocky Mountain Way,” brings his wealth of experience to Team Niall Horan and Reba McEntire. With five Grammy Awards under his belt, Walsh is sure to provide invaluable insight to the contestants.

Zac Brown, the leader of the Zac Brown Band, will be making his “Voice” debut alongside coaches Michael Bublé and Snoop Dogg. With three Grammy wins and six consecutive albums reaching the Billboard Top 10, Brown is no stranger to success in the music industry.

Each coach enters the Knockouts with eight artists, with no saves or steals allowed in this round. The coaches will have the difficult task of choosing one artist from their team to advance to the Playoffs, the final round before the Live Shows.

This season’s Knockouts also feature a new twist – the “Mic Drop” button. Each coach has the power to use this button on an artist they believe deserves special recognition. Viewers at home will have the opportunity to vote for the “Mic Drop” winner, who will be awarded a performance at The Rose Parade live on Jan. 1, 2026.

Tune in to “The Voice” airing Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and catch the stream the next day on Peacock to see how Joe Walsh, Zac Brown, and the rest of the coaches navigate the intense competition.
