The Walking Dead Star Reveals He’d Love a Part in the Star Wars Universe

Dan Fogler, known for his roles in The Walking Dead and Fantastic Beasts series, expressed his interest in joining two more iconic franchises during an interview at MCM Comic Con London. He revealed his desire to be a part of both the Star Wars and Indiana Jones worlds, citing his connection to director James Mangold as a potential opportunity.
“I got to work with [James] Mangold recently on A Complete Unknown… Mangold was connected to Indiana Jones, and he’s going to do a Star Wars movie at some point. So I’m just like, see what happens there. Give him a little text. But I would love to be in that world. I’d love to be in the Indiana Jones world too, if they can squeeze one more movie out of it.
Fogler also acknowledged the expanding TV universe of Star Wars, with series like Andor gaining popularity. He expressed optimism about the potential opportunities in such a vast and diverse franchise.
“Right? There’s so much… the odds are in my favour”.
The upcoming Mangold-directed Star Wars project, set to explore the origins of the Jedi and the Force, has piqued Fogler’s interest. With a timeline set thousands of years before the prequel trilogy, the film promises to delve into uncharted territory within the Star Wars universe.
Aside from the Mangold project, Star Wars has a lineup of exciting ventures in store, including The Mandalorian & Grogu Movie, Ahsoka season 2, and a film by acclaimed filmmaker Taika Waititi.
Comic Con attendees were also treated to insights from other stars like David Tennant, who hinted at a mysterious project he’s been working on. The event proved to be a hub of excitement and anticipation for fans of various geeky franchises.
