The White Lotus Season 4 to Shoot at Saint-Tropez Luxury Hotel

The highly anticipated Season 4 of “The White Lotus” is currently in the works, with creator Mike White busy writing the next installment of the hit anthology series. Recent reports from Variety have revealed that the upcoming season will be filmed at the stunning Château de La Messardière in Saint-Tropez on the Côte d’Azur.

The Château de La Messardière is a 19th-century palace that has been transformed into a luxurious hotel, nestled within 32 acres of lush greenery including parasol pines, cypress trees, and jasmine. Part of the Airelles Collection of five-star hotels owned by Stephane Courbit, this opulent property offers suites ranging from $3,000 to $8,000 per night, with top-notch amenities such as a spa, beach access via Rolls-Royce transfer, restaurants, sports activities, and a children’s camp.

Production for Season 4 is set to commence at the end of April and will run through the end of October. As with previous seasons, the show will not be confined to just one location, as creator Mike White aims to create a diverse backdrop by incorporating different venues. In addition to the Château de La Messardière, filming will also take place at other locations along the French Riviera, with some scenes possibly set in a Paris hotel.

While details of the plot are being kept under wraps, HBO has confirmed that Season 4 will once again follow a group of hotel guests and employees over the course of a week. Speculation suggests that the Cannes Film Festival might play a role in the storyline, given that the show will be filming on the Riviera during the festival dates from May 13-26.

Casting for Season 4 is currently underway, with a focus on recruiting French actors for the upcoming season. Alexander Ludwig and AJ Michalka have been announced as new cast members, joining returning actors Jennifer Coolidge, Natasha Rothwell, and Jon Gries. Season 3, set in Thailand and featuring a star-studded cast including Walton Goggins and Michelle Monaghan, garnered eight acting Emmy nominations.

Executive produced by Mike White, David Bernad, and Mark Kamine, “The White Lotus” has become a critical and commercial success, drawing viewers in with its intriguing storylines and complex characters. Fans can look forward to another captivating season set against the backdrop of the glamorous French Riviera.
