Thousands of Amazon’s LShome Photoelectric smoke detectors recalled due to potential fire hazard
Amazon is recalling thousands of smoke detector fire alarms due to a sound issue that could pose a fire hazard.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a notice stating that 11,000 LShome Photoelectric 3-Pack Smoke Detector Fire Alarms may not activate promptly if the sensing threshold of security warnings is set too high.
The alarms are white, circular, and have a light sound warning and test button. They are powered by 9-volt batteries.
These products were sold on Amazon between February 2024 and December 2025 for around $30. The affected model number is XG-7D04-KZ9Z and the SKU number is CX-50YP-A5VN, both printed on the bottom side of the alarm.
Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately and can dispose of the smoke alarms in the trash, according to the CPSC notice.
No injuries or incidents associated with the recalled products have been reported, according to the CPSC.
Consumers are instructed to contact lmm15957491237@163.com for details on how to obtain a refund through Amazon.
