‘Tiger King’ Joe Exotic’s husband pleads to return to US

After being deported from the US, “Tiger King” Joe Exotic’s husband, Jorge Flores Maldonado, finds himself in a dangerous situation in cartel-infested Mexico. Living in Tamaulipas state, Maldonado fears for his life due to the high levels of organized crime in the area.

Since his deportation on May 17, Maldonado has been struggling with depression and worries about his safety. He emphasized the active presence of cartels in the region and expressed concerns about being targeted due to his association with his famous husband, Joe Exotic.

Maldonado’s deportation came after he was arrested in August for allegedly transporting six undocumented immigrants across the US-Mexico border. It was during his time in a federal prison in Fort Worth, Texas, where he met Joe Exotic and their romance blossomed.

Despite the language barrier, the couple formed a strong bond through shared activities like walks, workouts, meals, and movie nights. They eventually tied the knot in a prison wedding ceremony in November, marking their commitment with matching tattoos.

However, their happiness was short-lived as ICE deported Maldonado back to Mexico, cutting off all communication with his husband. Feeling desperate and depressed, Maldonado is now pleading for a chance to return to the US and for a pardon for Joe Exotic.

He dreams of reuniting with his husband, starting afresh, and supporting Joe in his music career. Maldonado’s ultimate wish is for Donald Trump to pardon Joe Exotic and allow them to live a peaceful life together.

In April 2020, President Trump expressed willingness to look into Joe Exotic’s case when asked about a potential pardon. Maldonado remains hopeful for a positive outcome that will allow him to be reunited with his beloved husband and continue their journey together.
