Timothy Busfield passed ‘independent polygraph’ test: lawyer
Embattled actor Timothy Busfield is facing disturbing allegations of sexually abusing two young boys on the set of a FOX show he directed. However, his lawyers have stated that he passed an independent polygraph test and maintains his innocence.
Busfield, known for his role in “West Wing,” appeared in court in New Mexico for the first time, where he is charged with two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor and one count of child abuse. Despite the charges, his lawyer Larry Stein has emphasized that Busfield denies the allegations and considers them to be completely false.
The actor voluntarily took a lie detector test to support his innocence and reportedly passed. He is currently being held without bond at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Albuquerque.
The allegations against Busfield stem from his time directing “The Cleaning Lady” in New Mexico in 2024. It is alleged that he engaged in unlawful sexual conduct with 11-year-old twin boys on the set. The accusations claim that he inappropriately touched one boy three or four times and the other five or six times.
Busfield has vehemently denied the allegations, stating that they are all lies. In a video message shared with TMZ, he expressed his determination to fight the charges with a great legal team and expects to be exonerated.
In a shocking development, a third alleged victim has come forward with new allegations against Busfield. Prosecutors in Bernalillo County, New Mexico, have accused him of sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl several years ago in Sacramento, California.
Despite the mounting accusations, Busfield’s lawyer has suggested that the claims are driven by revenge. He claimed that the mother of the twin boys sought payback after her sons were cut from the show’s final season.
It is worth noting that Warner Bros., the production company behind “The Cleaning Lady,” conducted an independent investigation into the allegations and found no evidence to support the claims. However, the criminal investigation was initiated in 2024 after a physician reported suspected sexual abuse when examining one of the children at the University of New Mexico Hospital.
The case against Timothy Busfield is ongoing, and he remains adamant in his denial of the allegations. As the legal process unfolds, the truth behind these disturbing accusations will hopefully come to light.
