Tom Brady is making a surprising return to the field as he gears up for a flag football tournament in Saudi Arabia, joining forces with NFL stars for an epic event.
The news of Brady’s “unretirement” was confirmed recently, with the legendary quarterback teaming up with longtime teammate Rob Gronkowski and current NFL stars such as Saquon Barkley, CeeDee Lamb, Myles Garrett, Sauce Gardner, Christian McCaffrey, Maxx Crosby, and more.
The event, named the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, is scheduled to take place during Riyadh Season on March 21, 2026.
According to Adam Schefter, this will mark Brady’s first return to the field since his retirement in 2023, offering fans a chance to witness the GOAT in action once again.
While Brady has been busy with various projects post-retirement, including his broadcasting role at Fox and involvement with the Las Vegas Raiders, his return to the field is sure to excite football fans worldwide.
The tournament will feature coaching from Kyle Shanahan, Pete Carroll, and Sean Payton leading the three teams, which means no reunion with Bill Belichick for Brady this time around.
The rise of flag football as an upcoming Olympic sport in Los Angeles 2028, allowing NFL professionals to participate, adds an extra layer of excitement to the event and potentially hints at future opportunities for Brady.
With Brady’s return to the field for flag football in Saudi Arabia, fans can’t help but wonder if this is a warmup for the GOAT’s pursuit of gold in future competitions.
