Tom Lee’s BMNR ETH holdings rise above 4.1 million tokens
Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) has reported a significant increase in its combined crypto, cash, and higher-risk investments, totaling $13.2 billion. This growth has been primarily driven by the company’s substantial position in ether, which now stands at over 4.1 million tokens.
In a press release issued on Monday, Bitmine announced that it currently holds 4,110,525 ETH, making it the world’s largest publicly owned ether treasury. This places the company second globally among corporate crypto treasuries, with only MicroStrategy (MSTR) surpassing it in terms of bitcoin holdings.
The firm’s ether holdings represent approximately 3.41% of the network’s circulating supply of around 120.7 million ETH. Bitmine aims to achieve its “alchemy of 5%” target, which would involve holding 5% of the total circulating supply of ether.
Thomas Lee, the chairman of Bitminee, stated, “We continue to be the largest ‘fresh money’ buyer of ETH in the world.” He also acknowledged the impact of year-end tax-loss selling on crypto and crypto equity prices, noting that this phenomenon is most pronounced between December 26 and December 30.
Additionally, Bitmine revealed that it has staked 408,627 ETH, valued at approximately $1.2 billion. The company is collaborating with three staking providers as it prepares to launch its Made in America Validator Network (MAVAN) in early 2026. By fully staking its ether holdings, Bitmine estimates that it could generate about $374 million in annual staking revenue based on the current composite Ethereum staking rate of 2.81%.
As the company gears up for its annual shareholder meeting on January 15, 2026, at the Wynn Las Vegas, it has urged investors to vote in favor of four proposals linked to its long-term strategy. Bitmine’s chairman’s message emphasized the importance of these proposals in shaping the company’s future direction.
At the time of publication, ether was trading around $2,950, showing minimal movement over the past 24 hours. Bitmine’s continued growth and strategic initiatives underscore its position as a key player in the crypto investment space, with a strong focus on ether and long-term value creation.
