Toyota has issued a recall for 126,691 Tundra and Lexus models due to potential engine stalling, which could pose a safety risk on the road. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) highlighted the issue in a recall notice on November 6, citing the presence of “machining debris” in the engines that may cause starting problems or sudden shutdowns while driving.
The affected vehicles include:
- Toyota Tundra, Model Year 2022-2024
- Lexus LX600, Model Year 2022-2024
- Lexus GX550, Model Year 2024
Owners of the impacted vehicles can expect to receive a notification letter by December 22, with further instructions to follow once a solution is available. Toyota has confirmed that repairs will be conducted free of charge for affected customers.
