Trump Clowned Over ‘Embarrassing’ White House Renovation Blunder
President Donald Trump recently made a verbal slip-up while discussing the newly installed “Presidential Walk of Fame” sign at the White House. During an interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, Trump proudly pointed out a sign made of half-inch-thick bronze and brass along the West Colonnade. However, he mistakenly referred to both materials as brass.
Bronze and brass are actually different alloys with distinct colors and compositions. Bronze has a reddish-brown appearance and is primarily made of copper and tin, while brass has a golden yellow appearance and is mainly composed of copper and zinc. The White House did not immediately respond to inquiries about the sign’s actual makeup.
Social media users were quick to criticize Trump for his embarrassing mix-up and the tacky design choice of the sign. Despite the blunder, the “Presidential Walk of Fame” sign remains a notable addition to the White House’s renovations.
