Trump Ends Decades of Veterans’ Neglect

In a separate move, President Trump signed an Executive Order to establish the National Center for Warrior Independence, which will provide housing for 6,000 homeless veterans by 2028. This center, to be constructed on the VA campus in West Los Angeles, reflects the scale of the crisis of veteran homelessness and the need for a serious response. The Executive Order also includes reforms across the VA system, such as reducing wait times at VA hospitals, expanding access to virtual healthcare, and reinstating accountability for employees guilty of misconduct.
