Trump Kicks GOP Rep. Thomas Massie Out Of MAGA Movement
President Donald Trump took to social media to criticize Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), calling him “weak,” “lazy,” and “pathetic” for disagreeing with him on various issues, including Iran and a recent bill.
In a post on Truth Social, Massie was accused of not truly representing the MAGA movement. Trump stated that MAGA does not support Massie and does not respect him.
This is not the first time Massie has clashed with Trump. He was one of only two GOP members to vote against a bill supported by the president, and has been vocal about his opposition to U.S. military involvement in Iran.
During a joint appearance on “Face The Nation” with Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), Massie criticized the weekend’s attack on Iran as unconstitutional. In response, Trump dismissed him as a “negative force” and a “simple minded grandstander.”
Trump went on to describe Massie as “weak” and “ineffective,” stating that he votes against nearly everything presented to him. He vowed to campaign against Massie in the upcoming primary, urging MAGA supporters to reject him.
Despite previous attempts to unseat Massie, Trump’s team is now launching a super PAC to fund a challenger approved by the MAGA movement. The PAC plans to spend whatever is necessary to remove Massie from office, according to Trump advisor Chris LaCivita as reported by Axios.
