Trump proposes UFC fight on White House grounds for America250 celebration
President Donald Trump has proposed an unconventional way to mark the 250th birthday of the United States next year. During a speech in Iowa, Trump suggested hosting a UFC event on the White House grounds on July 4th. This groundbreaking idea would involve setting up an octagon ring and having fighters compete in front of a live audience.
“We’re going to have a UFC fight. Think of this on the grounds of the White House,” Trump announced. “We have a lot of land there. We’re going to build a little.”
While details about the event are still scarce, Trump mentioned that UFC CEO Dana White, a known supporter of the president, would be in charge of organizing the spectacle. “Dana is going to do it. Dana is great. One of a kind. We’re going to have a UFC fight – championship fight, full fight – with around 20,000 to 25,000 spectators, as part of the 250th anniversary celebrations,” Trump explained.
Hosting a sporting event at the White House would be a historic first. The iconic residence has never been the venue for such an occasion in its long history. However, Trump’s affinity for UFC is well-documented, as he has attended numerous events in the past. Upon his return to the White House, he has been spotted at matches alongside prominent figures like Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
The prospect of a UFC event at the White House has generated significant buzz and excitement. It remains to be seen how this ambitious plan will unfold and whether it will come to fruition. Nevertheless, Trump’s proposal has sparked discussions about innovative ways to commemorate America’s milestone anniversary in a memorable and unconventional manner.
