Tupac Shakur, one of the most iconic figures in the history of hip-hop, met a tragic end on September 13, 1996, when he was fatally shot in Las Vegas. However, the story of what happened to Tupac’s remains after his death has now taken a bizarre and shocking turn, as revealed by Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight.

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Suge Knight claimed that after Tupac was cremated, his friends and family took his ashes and rolled them into a blunt, which they then proceeded to smoke. Knight recounted the incident with a laugh, stating that he was one of the few people in Tupac’s inner circle who chose not to partake in the macabre ritual.

According to Knight, Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur, made the decision to have her son cremated immediately without holding a traditional funeral. Knight alleged that he personally paid $1 million in cash to ensure that Tupac’s cremation took place as quickly as possible.

On the night of Tupac’s cremation, Knight claimed that a bag containing Tupac’s ashes was passed around among his friends, who then rolled him up and smoked him. Knight justified this shocking act by stating that it was symbolic and a way to keep a part of Tupac with them.

While the details of Suge Knight’s revelations may be unsettling to many, they offer a new and controversial perspective on the legacy of Tupac Shakur. The story of Tupac’s ashes being smoked by his friends and family adds a dark and macabre chapter to the already tragic tale of the legendary rapper’s untimely demise.
