‘Twisted-Wonderland’ Anime Based on Hit Mobile Game Set at Disney+
Disney+ has recently announced the production of a new animated series titled “Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation,” further solidifying its presence in the world of Japanese anime. This new series is based on the popular mobile gaming property that has taken the world by storm.
In the “Twisted-Wonderland” universe, seven villainous characters have been transformed into legendary figures known as the Great Seven. These characters have each established a dormitory at Night Raven College, creating unique magical communities within the academy. Students are sorted into these houses based on their personalities and magical abilities, adding an element of intrigue and excitement to the story.
The main protagonist of the anime is Yuken Enma, a high school student from Tokyo who finds himself transported to a magical realm filled with characters inspired by classic Disney villains. Night Raven College becomes the backdrop for his adventures, with dormitories themed after iconic Disney villains such as the Queen of Hearts, Scar, Ursula, Jafar, the Evil Queen, Hades, and Maleficent.
Enma, who lacks magical abilities, must navigate this new world and find a way back to his own reality. Alongside his fellow students Ace and Deuce, he faces challenges and clashes with the dorm leader Riddle Rosehearts, adding depth and excitement to the storyline.
“Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation” is set to premiere exclusively on Disney+ on October 29th, adding to the platform’s growing collection of anime content. Other anime offerings on Disney+ include “Murai In Love,” a romantic comedy about a high school student trying to win over his teacher, “The Fable,” which follows an assassin in hiding, and “Go! Go! Loser Ranger!,” an action-packed series about a conflict between a Monster Army and the Divine Dragon Rangers. Additionally, “Cat’s Eye” is currently in development, focusing on three sisters who lead a double life as café owners and cat burglars.
With its diverse range of anime content, Disney+ continues to expand its offerings and cater to a wide audience of anime fans. Stay tuned for more updates on “Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation” and other exciting projects coming to the platform.
