United And Delta Accused Of Selling Fake Window Seats

A New York law firm initiated class action lawsuits on behalf of passengers who feel they were misled into paying extra for window seats that did not actually include a window. The Greenbaum Olbrantz firm stated that many passengers have expressed interest in joining the lawsuits, as they believe they have been unfairly affected by this practice. The lawsuits claim that both Delta and United Airlines were aware of complaints about windowless window seats yet continued to charge passengers extra for them without disclosing the lack of a window.

One of the lead plaintiffs, Nicholas Meyer, discovered that the seat he purchased on a Delta flight did not have a window, despite being labeled as a window seat. Meyer stated that Delta did not warn him during the seat selection process that his chosen seat was a windowless window seat.

Alaska Airlines and American Airlines are also accused of selling similar seats but are said to disclose this information to customers upfront. The lawsuits are seeking substantial damages from each airline.
