Video shows deranged Zohran Mamdani passionately shouting anti-Israel ‘BDS’ chant at rally

Zohran Mamdani, the current frontrunner for the New York City mayoral race, has once again come under scrutiny for his strong anti-Israel stance. A video from May 2021 has surfaced showing Mamdani passionately speaking out against support for Israel and calling for solidarity with Palestinians.

In the video, Mamdani can be seen standing alongside pro-Hamas militants, leading the crowd in chants of “BDS, BDS” which stands for Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctioning of support for Israel. He criticizes city officials for their support of Israel and calls for accountability for their actions.

This rally took place two years before Mamdani appeared at another demonstration where he fervently shouted about defunding “Israeli settler violence” just weeks before the Hamas terror attacks on Israel in October 2023. Mamdani, who co-founded the first Students for Justice in Palestine group at Bowdoin College, has been vocal about his anti-Israel views for some time.

During the rally, Mamdani urged the crowd to pressure elected officials to end all aid to Israel, claiming that the money sent to Israel could be better spent on social programs at home. He accused America of weaponizing the Israel Defense Forces with the $3.8 billion sent annually to Israel.

Critics of Mamdani, including expert on Islamist terrorism Steven Emerson, have accused him of selectively ignoring the persecution of various groups within Palestine and focusing solely on condemning Israel. Emerson also pointed out Mamdani’s association with radicals like Brooklyn imam Siraj Wahhaj, who has ties to terrorist activities.

Despite the controversy surrounding him, Mamdani remains firm in his beliefs and has the backing of the progressive wing of the Democratic Party, including the Democratic Socialists of America. He has openly declared his support for the BDS movement and emphasized the interconnectedness of global struggles for justice.

However, Emerson and others argue that Mamdani’s focus on condemning Israel overlooks the complex political situation in the region and fails to address the internal issues within Palestine, such as the rule of Hamas. They believe that Mamdani’s rhetoric is more about taking a stance against Israel rather than genuinely advocating for Palestinian human rights.

In conclusion, Zohran Mamdani’s anti-Israel stance continues to stir controversy and raise questions about his priorities and motivations in the New York City mayoral race. His unwavering support for Palestine and condemnation of Israel have become defining aspects of his campaign, drawing both support and criticism from various groups.
