Vince Gilligan Renews Overall Deal with Sony Pictures Television

After two decades with Sony Pictures Television, Vince Gilligan has renewed his overall deal with the studio for another four years. Under his High Bridge production banner, Gilligan will continue to develop and produce scripted series for Sony TV.

In a statement, Gilligan expressed his satisfaction with staying at Sony Pictures Television, citing the excellent partnership and support he receives from the studio. Known for creating hit series like “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul,” Gilligan praised Sony for their commitment to his projects and their role in the success of his shows.

Sony Pictures Television president, Katherine Pope, also praised Gilligan as a legendary figure in the industry and a humble genius. She expressed pride in the continued partnership with Gilligan and highlighted his talent for shining the spotlight on others.

Gilligan’s next project is the Apple TV+ series “Pluribus,” which has already been picked up for two seasons. Starring “Better Call Saul” actress Rhea Seehorn, the series is set to debut on Nov. 7, with new episodes releasing weekly through Dec. 26.

“Pluribus” is described as a genre-bending original that follows the journey of the most miserable person on Earth who must save the world from happiness. Alongside Seehorn, the series features Karolina Wydra, Carlos-Manuel Vesga, and guest stars Miriam Shor and Samba Schutte.

In addition to his work on “Pluribus,” Gilligan is represented by CAA and Del Shaw Moonves. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and executive produced by Gilligan, Gordon Smith, Alison Tatlock, Diane Mercer, Allyce Ozarski, and Jeff Frost, with Jenn Carroll and Trina Siopy serving as co-executive producers.
