Virginia police seek man in connection with shooting that killed 1 woman, injured 2 officers

Authorities are on the lookout for a man deemed armed and dangerous following a tragic incident in Virginia. Two police officers were shot while responding to a domestic assault call at an apartment where a woman was discovered with gunshot wounds, leading to her untimely demise.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries, as confirmed by the police.

Shaun M. Boker, aged 39, is currently wanted for questioning in connection with the violent events that took place, according to law enforcement officials.

The Chesapeake Police Department swiftly responded to the distress call on Wednesday night at an apartment located in the 500 block of Willow Bridge Court. Upon arrival, officers encountered a harrowing scene as they attempted to assist the woman in need.

“Upon arrival, officers heard a woman inside the residence screaming for help,” police said. “As officers attempted to breach the front door to render aid, an unknown suspect began shooting at them through the door from inside the apartment. Two officers were struck by gunfire.”

Fortunately, the injuries sustained by the officers are believed to be non-life-threatening, and they were promptly transported to a medical facility for treatment.

While the identity of the deceased woman has not been disclosed, authorities have issued a warning that Boker should be approached with caution due to his dangerous status.

This incident remains an ongoing investigation, with law enforcement assuring the public that further updates will be provided as new information unfolds.
