Which Phones Use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5?
The latest flagship mobile processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, has been officially announced. This powerful chipset is set to power some of the best phones and tablets in the market over the next year. Without being integrated into devices like smartphones and tablets, the chipset remains useless.
If you’re curious about which smartphones and devices will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, you’re in the right place. Several brands have already been confirmed to be working on devices with this new processor, and some specific models have already been revealed.
One of the first brands to confirm their devices with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is Xiaomi. The Xiaomi 17 range, which includes the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, will all be powered by this new chipset. Xiaomi has skipped the 16 model number and made the switch from Ultra to Pro Max for their top-of-the-range model, following a similar naming convention to the iPhone range.
In addition to Xiaomi, several other partners of Qualcomm have also confirmed their devices with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Some of these brands include Honor with the Magic 8 series and Pad 3 Pro, iQOO, Nubia, OnePlus with the OnePlus 15, Oppo, Poco, Realme GT 8 Pro, RedMagic, Asus ROG, Samsung (likely with the Galaxy S26 series), Sony, Vivo, and ZTE.
Stay tuned for more updates on these devices as they are officially announced. In the meantime, you can check out benchmarks with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 to get a glimpse of its performance.
