In a game against the Rangers in August of the following season, he once again vomited on the field after committing an error. Despite the embarrassing moment, Houser remained focused and continued to play.

After struggling with the Mets last season and being designated for assignment, Houser found a new home with the White Sox and has been enjoying a career resurgence. With a 5-2 record and an impressive 1.56 ERA in nine starts, Houser has proven himself to be a valuable asset for his team.
