‘Will & Grace’ Actor Was 60
Corey Parker, a talented actor known for his work in film, television, and mentoring young performers, has passed away at the age of 60. According to TMZ, Parker lost his battle with cancer on Thursday in Memphis, Tennessee.
Parker’s career kicked off in the mid-1980s with a memorable role as Pete in “Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning” (1985), which helped solidify his presence in the horror genre. He later appeared in the romantic drama “9 1/2 Weeks” (1986) alongside Kim Basinger.
In 1992, Parker gained wider recognition for his role as Neil Barash on the sitcom “Flying Blind,” where he starred opposite Téa Leoni as a college graduate navigating love and life. The show, which ran for one season, featured guest appearances from notable actors such as Lisa Kudrow, Peter Boyle, Andy Dick, and Noah Emmerich.
Television audiences also remember Parker for his portrayal of Josh, one of Grace’s boyfriends on “Will & Grace,” appearing in five episodes of the popular NBC series. His diverse screen credits include “Biloxi Blues,” “White Palace,” “Love Boat: The Next Wave,” “Nashville,” and “Blue Skies.”
