Yankees have little to count on and much to prove without Aaron Judge
The New York Yankees are facing a tough blow as star player Aaron Judge is sidelined with a flexor strain that will send him to the injured list for at least 10 days. While the team is relieved that the injury is not more serious, they will have to find a way to cope without one of their top performers.
In Judge’s absence, the Yankees struggled in a recent game against the Phillies, ultimately falling 9-4. The team’s performance has been less than stellar in recent weeks, with a record of 14-23 since June 13, making them the worst in the American League during this period.
Ryan McMahon, who recently joined the Yankees, may find the team’s struggles all too familiar. The Rockies, McMahon’s former team, have also been struggling with a poor record of 14-21 in the same timeframe. It seems that McMahon has simply traded one struggling team for another.
With Judge out, the Yankees will need to find a way to generate offense without one of their most potent power hitters. Giancarlo Stanton, another key player for the team, may need to step up in Judge’s absence. However, the team will have to be cautious with Stanton, as his injury history makes him a risky option for the outfield.
Despite the challenges they face, the Yankees will need to regroup and find a way to turn things around. With Judge’s return as a designated hitter in sight, the team will need to weather the storm and come out stronger on the other side. Only time will tell if they have what it takes to overcome this setback and get back on track towards a successful season.
