Zach Braff, Donald Faison Return

ABC has recently released the first full-length trailer for the highly anticipated revival of the popular medical sitcom “Scrubs.” Fans of the original series will be thrilled to see familiar faces such as Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, John C. McGinley, and Judy Reyes reprising their iconic roles in the main hospital setting of Sacred Heart Medical Center. Joining them are new cast members Vanessa Bayer, Joel Kim Booster, Ava Bunn, Jacob Dudman, David Gridley, Layla Mohammadi, and Amanda Morrow, with Robert Maschio and Phill Lewis also making a return from the original series.

Created by Bill Lawrence, “Scrubs” first premiered on NBC in 2001, following the adventures of Dr. John Dorian (J.D.), played by Zach Braff, as he navigated the ups and downs of working as a doctor. The show ran for seven seasons on NBC before being picked up by ABC for an eighth season in 2009. Despite a ninth season being produced in 2010, the show was ultimately cancelled by the network.

The revival of “Scrubs” is set to debut on ABC on February 25th at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Executive producers and showrunners Tim Hobert and Aseem Batra, along with original cast members Braff, Faison, Chalke, and Lawrence, are all on board for the revival. The series is produced by 20th Television and will also be available for streaming on Hulu.

Fans can expect the same blend of humor, heart, and poignant storytelling that made the original series a fan favorite.
