3 men investigated over missing girl, 15 — including one sharing sick sex chats: affidavit

Three men are currently under investigation in connection with the disappearance of 15-year-old Alisa Petrov in Utah. The teenager went missing five weeks ago from South Jordan, sparking a widespread search effort by authorities.

The investigation revealed that Petrov had been in contact with a 41-year-old man from Herriman, Utah, with whom she had engaged in explicit conversations. Their messages included discussions about sexual topics, such as condoms, sex games, and plans to meet in person. Petrov’s final message to the man on April 19 indicated her intention to run away and requested him not to contact her further.

Authorities obtained a search warrant for the man’s home and phone based on probable cause of potential enticement and exploitation of a minor. Messages between Petrov and the man were found on her iPad, which she left behind in her bedroom. It was discovered that she had shared her Snapchat username with him, and some messages may have been deleted.

In addition to the man from Herriman, two other men are also being investigated in connection with Petrov’s disappearance. William Taylor Glines, 37, is currently in custody in Texas, while Matthew Nicholas Menard, 35, from Florida, remains at large.

Petrov is classified as a runaway juvenile who is considered endangered. Her family has offered a $20,000 reward for any information that leads to her safe return. The South Jordan Police Department is urging anyone with information regarding Petrov’s whereabouts to come forward.

The search for Alisa Petrov continues as authorities work to piece together the events leading up to her disappearance. The community remains on edge as they hope for her safe return.
