High-End Boutique Robbed of $42,000 Bracelet

Authorities are on the lookout for two individuals suspected of stealing a bracelet worth $42,000 from a luxury boutique near the Magnificent Mile over the weekend. The incident took place at a store on East Huron Street, with the culprits fleeing the scene on foot.

The Chicago Police Department reported that the theft occurred around 4:48 p.m. on Saturday when the suspects entered the store, took the bracelet from a display case, and made their escape southbound on State Street. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the incident.

A witness identified the targeted store as Ikram, located at 15 East Huron Street in the Gold Coast area. Known for its diverse offerings including a clothing boutique, art gallery, and cafe, Ikram is a popular destination for upscale shoppers.

Descriptions of the suspects indicate that they are two men, possibly of Middle Eastern descent, both sporting sunglasses at the time of the theft. One individual was dressed in a black button-down shirt, khaki pants, and black boots, while the other wore a brown pullover, black pants, and black-and-white shoes.

The case is currently under investigation by Area Three detectives, although no arrests have been made thus far.

CWBChicago was founded in 2013 by a group of residents from Wrigleyville and Boystown who were dissatisfied with the lack of accurate information provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage has since expanded to include areas like Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and more, but our commitment to delivering original public safety reporting with in-depth context remains steadfast.
