Insane progressive leniency keeps letting more young terrors skirt

Progressive leniency strikes again, this time in Colorado and New York. In Colorado, a 15-year-old illegal immigrant was let off with just two years’ probation and 100 hours of community service after he killed a 24-year-old woman in a high-speed car crash. The Colombian national drove without a license and was speeding at 90 mph on a 45-mph street when the accident occurred.

In New York, a 15-year-old member of the Tren de Aragua farm team, Diablos de la 42, was arrested for robbing a 16-year-old autistic boy on Staten Island. This young criminal had been arrested 12 times before, but due to progressive policies, there was no mechanism to hold him accountable for his actions.

The immigration policies of President Joe Biden have allowed millions of asylum seekers to enter the country with little vetting, leading to repercussions that will be felt for years. Additionally, progressive ideologies prevent underage perpetrators from facing adult punishment, resulting in a lack of consequences for their actions.

In New York, juvenile offenders are protected from severe punishment by laws like the Raise the Age act, which limits the consequences for crimes committed by individuals under 18. Cashless bail policies and lenient judges and prosecutors further exacerbate the issue, allowing young criminals to run wild on the streets.

John Weaver, the father of the woman killed in Colorado, expressed disappointment in the district attorney’s decision to offer a plea deal to the teenage offender. The victim’s family and the autistic boy’s mother are outraged at the lenient treatment of these criminals who continue to roam the streets.

Until there is a change in progressive policies and a shift in the justice system, these criminals will continue to terrorize the public. It is up to voters to demand change and hold those in power accountable for their decisions.
