NYC brute Feliz Enrique slaps 9-year-old Queens girl, bites NYPD sergeant’s fingertip off:

A horrifying incident occurred in Queens earlier this month when a 9-year-old girl was sucker-slapped in the face by a brute on a Glendale street. The assailant, identified as Feliz Enrique, approached the young girl as she was playing and without warning, struck her in the face, causing her to fall to the ground. The child sustained injuries including bruising to her arm and back, bleeding to her lip and arm, loose teeth, and substantial pain, requiring treatment at a hospital.

Video footage captured the senseless attack carried out by Enrique, a 31-year-old resident of Ridgewood, the day before Mother’s Day. The shocking incident prompted off-duty NYPD Sgt. Sebastian Hajder to intervene. Hajder witnessed the assault and immediately took action to detain Enrique. However, in the struggle to apprehend the suspect, Enrique bit off a portion of the sergeant’s fingertip, causing permanent disfigurement.

Despite receiving prompt medical attention, Hajder’s fingertip could not be reattached. Enrique, who was on parole at the time of the attack after serving seven years in prison for attempted murder, was arraigned on charges of assault in the first, second, and third degree, endangering the welfare of a child, and harassment in the second degree. If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison and is scheduled to appear in court on July 10.

The heinous nature of this incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers lurking in our communities. It also highlights the bravery and selflessness of individuals like Sgt. Hajder, who put themselves at risk to protect others. The young girl and the sergeant both suffered physical harm at the hands of a violent offender, underscoring the importance of swift and decisive action to ensure the safety of innocent individuals.
