Leslie Odom Jr. Joins ‘Imperfect Women’ Apple TV+ Series

Leslie Odom Jr. has officially joined the cast of Apple’s upcoming series adaptation of “Imperfect Women” in a recurring role, according to a report by Variety. Odom will be starring alongside Elisabeth Moss, Kerry Washington, Kate Mara, Joel Kinnaman, and Corey Stoll in this highly anticipated show, which is based on the novel by Araminta Hall.

The series is described as an unconventional psychological thriller that delves into the aftermath of a crime that disrupts the lives of a long-standing friendship between three women. “Imperfect Women” explores themes of guilt, retribution, love, betrayal, and the choices that can alter our lives in profound ways. As the investigation unfolds, the truth about how even the strongest relationships can evolve over time is revealed.

In “Imperfect Women,” Odom will be portraying the character Donovan, adding his talent and charisma to the already impressive ensemble cast. Known for originating the role of Aaron Burr in the Broadway phenomenon “Hamilton,” Odom is a Tony and Grammy Award winner who also earned an Emmy Award for his performance in the live stage recording of the musical on Disney+. His diverse resume includes roles in TV shows like “Central Park,” “Abbott Elementary,” “Law & Order: SVU,” and “Smash,” as well as films like “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,” “The Many Saints of Newark,” and “One Night in Miami…”

Represented by CAA, Untitled Entertainment, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman, Odom is set to bring his exceptional talent to “Imperfect Women” under the guidance of executive producer Annie Weisman. The series is a collaboration between 20th Television and Apple Studios, with Moss, Washington, and Hall also serving as executive producers alongside Weisman. The pilot will be directed by Lesli Linka Glatter, with Kay Oyegun contributing as a writer and executive producer as part of her overall deal with 20th Television.
