Regina Hall Joins Jennifer Garner in ‘Five-Star Weekend’ Series

Regina Hall has been announced as the co-star alongside Jennifer Garner in the upcoming Peacock series adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand’s novel, “The Five-Star Weekend.” Originally revealed in January with Garner in the lead role, the series follows the story of Hollis Shaw, a renowned food influencer who experiences a tragic loss that forces her to confront the cracks in her seemingly perfect life.

Hall will be playing the role of Dru-Ann Jones, a series regular in the show. Known for her versatile acting skills, Hall has recently appeared in various TV projects such as the Peacock series “The Best Man: The Final Chapters,” Showtime’s “Black Monday,” and Hulu’s “Nine Perfect Strangers” Season 1. She has also starred in popular films like the “Scary Movie” series, “Think Like a Man,” “Girls Trip,” and “Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul.”

The series is helmed by creator and executive producer Bekah Brunstetter, with Beth Schacter also contributing as a writer and executive producer. Garner, in addition to starring in the series, will serve as an executive producer as well. Sue Naegle and Ali Krug are also on board as executive producers through their Dinner Party Productions, with Hilderbrand also joining as an executive producer. The show is being produced by UCP, with Dinner Party currently holding an overall deal with the studio.

“The Five-Star Weekend” promises to be a compelling and emotional journey as Hollis and her friends come together for a weekend retreat on Nantucket. Against a backdrop of luxury and coastal beauty, they will confront their pasts, navigate through secrets, and ultimately find growth and self-discovery. With a stellar cast and talented production team, this series is definitely one to watch out for.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project as it continues to unfold on Peacock.
