Meta in talks over Scale AI stake that could top $10B, Bloomberg reports

According to Bloomberg News, Meta Platforms is currently in discussions to invest over $10 billion in the artificial intelligence startup Scale AI.

The deal terms have not been finalized yet and are subject to change, as per sources familiar with the matter cited in the report.

Scale AI has chosen not to comment on the matter, while Meta has not responded to a request for comment from Reuters outside of regular business hours.

Established in 2016, Scale AI is a data labeling startup supported by industry giants Nvidia, Amazon, and Meta.

Previously valued at close to $14 billion, Scale AI also offers a platform for researchers to share AI-related insights, with contributors spanning over 9,000 cities and towns.
