Body-Swapping Thriller ‘Decalcomania’ Sets December Debut

Singapore’s Mocha Chai Laboratories and Thai entertainment company The One Enterprise have joined forces to produce an exciting new mystery thriller series titled “Decalcomania.” This eight-part show features a unique body-swapping premise that is sure to captivate audiences.

The storyline follows two women who find themselves swapping souls after a tragic car accident. Neungdeaw Ananthikun, a 26-year-old nightclub owner from Bangkok with a troubled past, suddenly finds herself inhabiting the body of Leia Woo, a Singapore socialite protected by a powerful pharmaceutical tycoon.

Leading the cast is Thai star Mookda Narinrak, who takes on the challenging task of portraying both characters. She is joined by a talented ensemble including Hussawee Pakrapongpisan, Pat Chayanit Chansangavej, Chai Chatayodom Hiranyatithi, and Thaneth Warakulnukroh from Thailand. Singaporean actors Pierre Png and Gladys Ng also make an appearance, with veteran actor Hong Hui Fang in a special guest role.

The concept for “Decalcomania” was first developed in 2021 by Singaporean creator Chai Yee-Wei and screenwriter Chance Wanlass. The show gained traction at the Asian Television Forum in December 2022, where executive producer Michelle Chang presented the idea to The One Enterprise.

The collaboration between the two production companies has been described as a true partnership, with a shared vision and a commitment to creating innovative content. The show is being crafted for Thai audiences but aims to have broad regional and international appeal.

The technical aspects of the production are being handled by seasoned professionals, including art director Pawas Sawatchaiyamet and visual effects expert Lee Stringer. Post-production will take place at MCL’s state-of-the-art facility in Singapore.

Funding for the project comes from the Infocomm Media Development Authority’s International Co-Production Grant, highlighting the show’s role as a creative bridge between Southeast Asian cultures.

“Decalcomania” is set to premiere on Thailand’s ONE31 and OneD streaming platform in December 2025, with a local broadcast on Singapore’s Mediacorp MeWATCH to follow.
