Trump Reveals What He Calls Melania In Private, Just Before Bed
Although not the most romantic, it is indeed accurate.
During an event in Iowa on Thursday, Trump revealed his thoughts on military recruitment.
“One year ago, I remember having a conversation with our wonderful first lady. I called her ‘first lady’ because it just makes me feel good. ‘First lady.’ Isn’t it awful? Saying, ‘Good night first lady, my darling?’” he said.
However, he emphasized that the pet name serves an important purpose.
“It reminds me that I hold the title of president,” he explained. “That’s why I use it. So, I told the first lady, ‘It’s terrible. No one seems to want to join our military force.’”
Trump then attributed a rise in military enlistments to his efforts, despite CBS News noting that enlistment numbers had already been increasing since before he won last year’s election numbers have been rebounding from pandemic-era lows.
