Eric Idle Was Asked What’s Funny About Trump And His Answer Was No Laughing Matter

Renowned British comedian Eric Idle recently expressed his disdain for President Donald Trump, stating that he finds nothing humorous about the current U.S. leader. Idle, best known for his work with Monty Python, shared his views in a candid interview with The Guardian, where he criticized Trump’s actions and character.

Idle went on to describe Trump as a “treasonous monster” who he believes is under the influence of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The comedian, who now divides his time between the U.S. and France to escape American news, expressed his frustration with the constant media coverage of Trump, labeling it as an unhealthy obsession.

In the interview, Idle also took a jab at Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., criticizing his anti-vaccine stance. When asked about his school nurse, referred to as “Nurse Idle,” Idle confirmed that his mother did administer school vaccinations and would have disapproved of Kennedy’s views on vaccines.

Idle’s distaste for Trump is evident in his social media posts as well. In one instance, he mocked Melania Trump’s leaked audio by suggesting a duet with her on his song “Fuck Christmas.” He has also mocked Trump’s efforts to fund a border wall, proposing a satirical Python-esque solution.
