Parents of NYC girl, 1, thrown 3 floors down trash chute by uncle, 39, scrambled to rescue her: sources

The parents of a 1-year-old girl in Staten Island had a terrifying experience when their daughter was thrown down a trash chute by her uncle in their apartment building. The incident occurred on Steuben Street near Weser Avenue in Park Hill around 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The father was in the bathroom at the time, and when he came out and asked about his daughter, his brother confessed to dropping her down the chute.
