Woman, 21, found with torture wounds in NYC stairwell — cops seek boyfriend in her murder: sources
A tragic incident unfolded in a Bronx apartment building, where a young woman was discovered with severe torture wounds in a stairwell. Sadly, she succumbed to her injuries after being rushed to the hospital. Authorities are now on the lookout for her boyfriend, who is considered a person of interest in the case.
The 21-year-old victim was found with a multitude of injuries, including stab wounds, puncture wounds, razor marks, large lacerations, and signs of being tied up and potentially beaten with a hammer. The gruesome discovery was made by police in the Fordham Heights area of the Bronx.
Surveillance footage captured the victim’s boyfriend leaving the building, prompting law enforcement to seek him for questioning. As of now, he remains at large. In a twist, the suspect’s mother, a 54-year-old woman, was taken into custody after police found a trail of blood leading to a room in her apartment.
Initially considered a witness, the mother’s suspicious behavior led investigators to believe she may have been involved in the crime. She was found with a garbage bag containing blood-soaked clothes and became uncooperative during questioning. Authorities are now seeking a search warrant to further investigate the apartment for potential evidence tampering.
The unfolding investigation has left the community shocked and saddened by the brutal nature of the crime. As the search for the suspect continues, residents are urged to come forward with any information that may assist in solving the case and bringing justice for the victim.
